About Rudman Law
Douglas B. Rudman, founder of Rudman Law LLC, graduated from Washington University School of Law in 1990. While at Washington University School of Law, Mr. Rudman was a Law Review member of the Urban & Contemporary Journal of Law.
Mr. Rudman has served in the public sector in a wide variety of roles including a law clerk for the Honorable Roy Harper United States District Judge of the Eastern District of Missouri, an Assistant and then Associate St. Louis County Counselor, Special Assistant City Attorney, City of St. Charles, Missouri and as Special Assistant United States Attorney, Eastern District of Missouri.
Mr. Rudman is admitted to practice in Missouri State Courts, Missouri Court of Appeals, Missouri Supreme Court, United States District Court, United States Bankruptcy Court, and United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Mr. Rudman has participated in a wide variety of civic and charitable organizations and has received numerous awards such as the United States Gold Congressional Medal Award.
Mr. Rudman has represented numerous clients to successful settlements, confidential mediations, administrative hearings, trials both in judge-tried and jury-tried cases and appeals involving significant awards and judgments. Sexual Assault of a Mentally Disabled Woman
Doug Rudman litigated a case in federal court on behalf of a woman who was sexually abused. The defendant claimed the sex act was consensual; however, Doug Rudman proved there was no consent and their client was sexually assaulted. Doug Rudman obtained a judgment of $4,000,000 on behalf of their client.
Sexual Abuse in the Workplace
Doug Rudman represented an employee who was sexually assaulted by a supervisor. Initially, the employer claimed sexual abuse or assault did not occur. However, Doug Rudman aggressively pursued the claim and obtained a negotiated settlement of $500,000 on behalf of its client.
Pedestrian Hit by an Automobile
Doug Rudman was retained by a pedestrian who walked across a road after a concert and was struck by an automobile. The client was comparatively at fault but we obtained liability limits of $300,000 from the Defendant’s insurance carrier and our client’s underinsured liability insurance carrier.

Negligent Supervision of a Minor Child
Doug Rudman represented a minor child who was severely injured due to the negligent supervision of his care taker. The minor child sustained significant injuries due to falling from a window. Doug Rudman negotiated a settlement of $400,000 on behalf of their client.
Nursing Home Negligence
Children entrusted their beloved elderly mother to a nursing home. Unfortunately, the nursing home was negligent, which resulted in the resident falling and sustaining significant injuries. The family retained Doug Rudman to represent their mother. Doug Rudman successfully obtained in excess of $150,000 for its client.
Wrongful Death
Doug Rudman was retained by a mother whose son was killed by a law enforcement officer. Initially the incident was labeled as a justified killing or self defense until Doug Rudman discovered a surveillance tape during its investigation.
